We have previously rented a number of outstandingly beautiful large homes for our family of 15, and from the moment we passed through the gates and drove along the carefully landscaped road leading to the home, we were constantly surprised and impressed with the quality, and condition of this estate. I’ll mention a few of the many features that so impressed us including superb quality oriental carpets, and art objects throughout the complex, four inch thick fossil and other rare stone counter surfaces in all kitchens and baths, each one different and more beautiful than the next. Impeccable interior design with special finishes and live exotic plants everywhere, floor to ceiling specially designed movable glass doors on all the spectacular views, some opening out to screened porches, conversation areas everywhere. Waterfalls and a fire pit that can be seen from several rooms, a infinity pool that lights up with stars at night, a large Jacuzzi complex all served by a beautiful outdoor bar and kitchen. An indoor steam room, exercise room, pool table, home theater, iPhone controlled sound system in all rooms. Outstanding landscaping design everywhere around the home, all lit at night.

As a mechanical engineer, I liked very high tech design, and everything worked flawlessly, very unusual in my experience!

The large staff was unusually professional and they all made our stay very pleasant. Kara our concierge helped line up tickets and reservations. Our house Manager Glenda helped us to understand the way the house and it’s system’s worked. She also made sure all of our requests were handled quickly and competently. Our butler Holden was always available to help with coffee and the tennis facility including system operations. Our amazing French trained chef Blake, made 5 gourmet dinners for us and was a joy to work with in planning menu’s. Blakes helper, Lilianna was so friendly and loving to our family, we wanted to take her home with us.

The house and grounds were so enjoyable and we played so many games and held so many conversations that our movie loving family actually did not watch any movies during our busy week there, and even though there seemed to be a HDTV 4K in every room, we didn’t watch much of that either.

As we were leaving, the one question on everyone’s minds was “When can come back again?”

What an unbelievable experience! The main house was beautifully decorated and every room felt as comfortable as home. We occupied the waterfall bedroom and falling asleep and waking to the sounds and sight just outside the massive screened in doors was heaven. During the day, we lounged by the pool and summer kitchen, enjoying the beautiful grounds and breathtaking views. By night, we enjoyed gourmet meals by Terry or wondered into town to experience all that Asheville has to offer.

The house is absolutely beautiful. We were surprised by how comfortable the house was; I say this because most houses of that size do not make you feel as at home as this one does.
